MONTGOMERY, Ala. ----The Huntingdon College women’s soccer team scored early and often in the 14-0 win over Oakwood College on Tuesday. The Lady Hawks posted 27 shots on goal, while Jenny Burnash kept a clean slate in goal. Huntingdon kept the Oakwood offense from taking a single shot in the match.
The Lady Hawks secured the win with six goals in the first-half against the Lady Ambassadors, with 15 shots on goal. In the second-half Crystal Flores and Courtney Fredenburg each picked up hat-tricks, as Huntingdon posted 8 more goals.
“We did a good job finding the opening holes, and capitalizing off the shots on goal,” said head coach Wes Anania.
