Congratulations to Huntingdon senior men's golfer Chase Blaich for qualifying and competing in the first and second rounds of the 110th Annual U.S. Amateur Golf Championship on Monday and Tuesday.
Blaich posted his best round on Monday shooting a 74. Day two proved to be a more challenging day on the entire field of over 300 golfers.
As head coach Matt Mahanic mentioned after the first round, “The second round course will be more difficult on the entire field.”
The Hawks will tee off in their first tournament this fall on Sept. 12-14th in the Golf Week Division III Fall Preview in Haines, Fla. at the Southern Dunes Golf Course.
