AUM Men’s Soccer Ranked 18th in NAIA Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2009 NAIA Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Preseason Top 25 Poll, and the Auburn University at Montgomery men’s soccer team was picked 18th.

The Senators finished last season 23rd in the nation, but have 18 players returning off last year’s squad that finished the season 12-5-1 overall and 7-2-1 in the conference.

The Senators received 240 total points in the poll as last season’s National Champions; Bethel University (Tenn.) is the top team in the preseason poll.

AUM will begin the season Thursday, Aug. 20, as it hosts Huntingdon College at 5 p.m. in an exhibition match. The regular season will open Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 4 p.m. at Emmanuel College
