MONTGOMERY—The top-ranked Lady Senators tennis team defeated the University of North Alabama 6-0 in opening round action at the Small College Blue and Gray Tournament.



UNA came into the match one person down, so AUM had a 2-0 lead before the match even started. The Lady Senators won both doubles matches, with an 8-0 win at one doubles and an 8-3 win at two.



With AUM holding a 4-0 lead, Delia Sescioreanu and Julie Verdy completed their singles matches at the same time to account for the 6-0 win.



AUM moves to 9-2 overall and will face an opponent in tomorrow’s second round against a yet to be determined opponent.
