Crowell Keeps Sights On NFL Dream
Alabama State tailback Isaiah Crowell is still rooting for his former Georgia teammates and hoping for an NFL shot.
Once the nation's top-rated running back prospect, Crowell is laboring mostly out of the national spotlight for the Southwestern Athletic Conference's Hornets
He was dismissed from the Georgia team in June 2012 following an arrest on felony weapons charges. Prosecutors dropped those charges in April.
Crowell says he's grown up since his arrest and is more comfortable at Alabama State this season.
Crowell still follows the Bulldogs and hopes they win a national title. He says, 'That's still my team."
The former SEC freshman of the year rushed for 842 yards and 15 touchdowns last season. Coach Reggie Barlow, a former NFL receiver, says Crowell is an NFL-caliber back.
