WAKA - Alabama and LSU in the title game should guarantee the Southeastern Conference a sixth straight championship and maybe a spot in the record books.

This year's match up will have fans cheering from across the U.S. and from down under.

That's because both teams have players from Australia.

While many players say media day feels like a foreign concept, it is a foreign concept for Alabama's Jesse Williams.

Jesse Williams,Alabama Defensive Lineman, says "The support and everyone behind you, you know the fans and stuff, I think it's just blown out of proportion a little."

The defensive lineman from Australia did not play American football until he was fifteen.

The game comes naturally to him as Williams
started every game this season and collected four tackles for loss, but the sport continues to be lost in translation for his friends back home.

"Over here you know it's on another level, ball over here, especially in the SEC and everything's blown out on proportion," said Williams.

Trey Wing, LSU Punter, says, "I was trying to explain to my friends you know what I'm trying to do over here but they just don't understand the magnitude of, some of my friends thought I was playing in the NFL for like the longest time so they didn't really know what was going on."

The sport is beginning to lose it's mystery down under. It's expected the BCS title game will earn the highest TV ratings for an American football game Australia has ever had with fans tuning in to see Williams and Wing.

"I mean there's always good kickers down there and stuff like that, but me playing a position other than kicker hopefully opens up more opportunities for other kids back in Australia," said Williams.

Jesse Williams is from Bribane and Trey Wing is from Melbourne.

Those players have never met before but LSU's Wing says win or lose he will be looking for Williams on the field after the title game.
