Alabama Hoping For Another Powerful Rebound

By Alabama News Network

Alabama rebounded nicely the last time the Crimson Tide finished a season with two straight losses and a shaky performance in the Sugar Bowl.

That's the situation Alabama's in again after losing to Auburn on the final play and falling to Oklahoma in New Orleans. The Tide won three national championships and 49 games over four seasons after the 2008 season ended similarly.
Coach Nick Saban doesn't soft-pedal the challenge. He says, "The time is now to resurrect the identity of the Alabama football program."
There's little question Alabama remains talented enough to again contend for at least a Southeastern Conference title, even minus stars like quarterback AJ McCarron and linebacker C.J. Mosley.
Florida State transfer Jacob Coker and Blake Sims are competing to replace McCarron as the starter.
