Body Found in Alabama River in Selma
A body has been found in the Alabama River in Selma.
Selma police say a man's body was recovered around 11 o'clock.
The body has been sent to forensics for positive identification.
No word yet on the cause of death.
"It was found about one-tenth of a mile west of the Edmund Pettus Bridge. The body appeared to be that of a black male, appeared to be in the water for about two days," Lt. Johnny King of the Selma Police Dept. told CBS 8 News.
Police say they expect to have the results of the autopsy back some time this week.
