Troy Trojans Play Better on the Road than at Home This Season

Most college football teams find life difficult on the road, but that hasn't been the case for the Troy Trojans, who are 3-0 on the road this season.
 
But, the Trojans have struggled at home, going 0-2 at Memorial Stadium. They know they need to play better at home.
 
"We need to get it done. At home, it's supposed to be your money games. It's supposed to be automatic. You're at home. You're supposed to win at home. So, it's just something we have to come out and do," defensive lineman Tony Davis said.
 
Five games into 2012, Troy has already matched last season's win total of 3, though it comes with puzzling splits. The Trojans are perfect on the road, but winless at home.
 
"Home territory, you've got to defend the house and I think it's going to fall together soon. We've just got to get a lot of pride about playing at home and win some games. Half our season's at home, so we need all those wins," said offensive lineman Jarred Flemming.
 
Despite being winless at home, Troy is 3-2 on the season, which has head coach Larry Blakeney pleased, saying, "I like where this football team is. I'd like to be undefeated, but if we keep working, we'll keep getting better, and we've got a chance."
 
The Trojans are on their bye this week. They'll rest up and get ready for a showdown with Western Kentucky on October 11th.
