Prattville Police Need Your Help in Solving Thefts

By Ellis Eskew

Prattville police need your help in finding an identity thief. Surveillance video from September 10th shows the suspect purchased items at Publix on Atlanta Highway using a fraudulent check. The suspect was a black male, appeared to be in his 20s, medium build, wearing a blue polo type shirt. He also had a black hat, plaid multi-colored shorts and white athletic shoes.

Tony Garret with CrimeStoppers says your anonymous tip could put the criminal behind bars.

"We try to contact all the media and put the information out there and say have you seen this person? Or do you know anything about this crime? Were you in the area when this occurred?" said Garrett.

Prattville police also need you help in finding another thief using a stolen debit card at the Prattville Wal-mart on October 15th. The card was stolen from a car in Montgomery and used to buy 266 dollars worth of items at the Wal-mart supercenter. From the surveillance video, the suspect seems to be a black female, with blonde bangs, wearing a hoodie, white shirt and black pants.

Garrett says there is an award for anyone who can help them solve these crimes.

"Anything that leads to an arrest, not a conviction, but an actual arrest we will give up to 1,000 dollars," said Garrett.
