New Year's Celebration in Wetumpka Includes Unique "Drop"

The annual meteor drop is a highlight of the New Year's celebration in Wetumpka.

It's meant to symbolize the meteor that dropped on the area that is current-day Wetumpka, creating a huge crater more than 80 million years ago.

Fireworks and music were also a part of the celebration to ring in 2013.
