Montgomery City Leaders Say Booting Cars is Raising Ticket Revenue

By CBS 8 News

Montgomery officials say there are more people paying their parking fines in downtown Montgomery, but fewer drivers actually getting them.

That's eight months after the city announced a new policy, immobilizing cars with a boot if drivers failed to pay five parking tickets.

City officials say parking fine revenue has more than doubled, to more than $2,700 on a booting day.
