Hundreds storm the Capitol steps, demanding medicaid expansion.

The advocates carrying signs for reform are hoping Governor Robert Bentley is listening.

The Saving Ourselves Movement for Justice and Democracy gathered more than 13,000 signatures.

Governor Bentley's office says his position hasn't changed and that he's working to reform the current system. He refuses to accept billions in federal funds to expand the program.

Sophia Bracy Harris, Saving Ourselves Movement Organizer said, "I believe that it is our responsibility that if we know there is a way to save lives that we should do that."

Organizers say the push for more signatures continues.
