High-Profile Attorney Speaks At Troy University

A high-profile attorney made a stop in Troy. 

 
Benjamin Crump spoke to a crowd of hundreds at a Troy University event. Crump represented Trayvon Martin's family.
 
That case drew international attention after George Zimmerman shot and killed 17-year-old unarmed Trayvon Martin. The case sparked a debate on Florida's "stand your ground" laws. 
 
Crump spoke to a crowd of hundreds about the importance of investing in our youth and doming something positive with their education. 
 
Benjamin Crump, a ttorney For Trayvon Martin's family said, "And obviously we are going to talk about Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis and the fact that these individuals were taken in the prime of their life and that they could have been here as their classmates. And so we have a great obligation to those who didn't make it to make sure we make better laws, we make better institutions and we make a better world."
