More than 60 people gathered in front of Greenville City Hall for the National Day of Prayer.

The Butler County Ministerial Association President says this year, one of the main focuses of prayer was for local and national government leaders.

He also says the economy is a prayer focus this year, and in Greenville, they specially prayed for small businesses and job creation, "We so desperately need healing. There's so many problems. Children are being shot at at school and the crime rate is continually rising and we're just fortunate that we live in a country where we can come out and pray," says association president, Allen Stephenson.

More than 10 ministers from different denominations came together to lead the prayers.
