A gas leak forces the evacuation of a South Alabama school. Crenshaw County's Superintendent says Highland Home students were evacuated to the football field around 8:40 this morning. He says there was a natural gas leak half a mile down the road from the school. The gas line was cut off and students were able to return to class before 9:15. The fire department and sheriff's deputies were on standby at the school in case of emergency. They did not have to take the students off campus.
