McGregor Talks to CBS 8 News about the Future of Victoryland
Victoryland owner Milton McGregor sits down for a one-on-one interview with CBS 8 News, one day after he and other defendants in the gambling corruption case were cleared of all charges.
McGregor says he'll restart the electronic bingo machines at Victoryland in Macon County as soon as possible.
He shut down the machines in 2010 because of threats of a raid by former Gov. Bob Riley's anti-gambling task force.
Now he wants to get Victoryland's employees back to work.
"I can assure you we will be open because we have a constitutional amendment approved by 76% of the people. We are entitled to have everything we had before -- the exact machines and everything as the Poarch Creek Indians," McGregor said.
McGregor hopes to reopen Victoryland within the next few months.
