A state organization is offering three-thousand dollars in prizes in a video contest for public school students. The Alabama Association of School Boards is holding its third annual contest for students to make videos that highlight public schools and experiences that inspire students to graduate.

The contest was only open to high school students in the past, but this year it's open to students in grades six through 12.

There are some pretty nice prizes up for grabs, including fifteen-hundred dollars and a video camera. The organization will start taking entries in February.
