Montgomery Offering Ticket Amnesty Program

If you have outstanding traffic tickets in the city of Montgomery, the city offers an opportunity for you to take care of them and avoid jail.

The city of Montgomery has an ongoing weekly traffic ticket amnesty program.

Ticket amnesty is offered two days during the week at Montgomery’s municipal court.

Todd Strange, Mayor, Montgomery, says “On Wednesdays and Fridays we have a docket with Judge Knight where if you come in and want to settle your tickets you will not be arrested, unless here's a wild set of circumstances. You're able to come in and get adjudication and get a payment plan and not be in fear of being arrested."

Strange says there may also be a special traffic amnesty day, but he couldn't predict whether that will occur next week or months from now.
