Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed by Mother of EMT

By WNCF Staff

A wrongful death lawsuit is filed by the family of paramedic killed along I-65.

Laura Pullam was working the scene of an accident in Montgomery County when she was hit by a pick-up truck.

The suit alleges that Robert Cumbie was driving that truck faster than he should have for the weather and icy road conditions and that he failed to slow down for emergency vehicles ahead of him on the roadway.

The lawsuit is filed by Ms. Pullam’s mother, Mary W. Smith, on behalf of Ms. Pullam’s infant daughter.

This will be tried before a jury.
