What's Right: Starting Traditions at Park Crossing High School in Montgomery

By Glenn Halbrooks

The new Park Crossing High School in Montgomery is impressive, but students are hard at work to start programs, clubs and rituals that can be found at rival schools.

Student ambassadors are meeting to talk about everything from how they want the school's Thunderbirds mascot costume to look to what kinds of songs and chants they want to hear at sports events.

Students at other schools probably take those traditions for granted. But at Park Crossing, someone has to start them.

The students hope the decisions they help make now will become a part of student life for all of those who follow for generations to come.
