People across the River Region gathered to remember Montgomery's history at Old Alabama Town's River, Rails, and Rights walking tour this morning.

The tour delves into the background and locations of historic sites tied to the Alabama River, railroads, and Montgomery's Union Station.

As the walk moves along Commerce Street up to Court Square, the focus changes to the historical civil rights' landmarks.

At Court Square, where Rosa Parks got on the bus, and then to Montgomery Street, where she refused to give up her seat to a white man.

The tour is held each year at the end of September.
