Former Wilcox Co. Principal Verdict

By CBS 8 News

A Wilcox County Jury finds former Wilcox County-Central High School principal James Thomas guilty of the misdemeanor charge of a school employee having sexual contact with a student.

The jury found Thomas not guilty of the felony charge of sexual abuse 1st degree.

He was led away from the courtroom in handcuffs and Wilcox County authorities say he will remain in custody at the Wilcox County Jail until the time of his sentencing in December.
