U.S. Marshalls Arrest Butler Co. Sex Offenders In Texas

By Catalina Trivino

U.S. Marshalls have arrested a Butler County man who they say is an unregistered sex offender in Fort Worth, Texas.

Butler County Deputies say John Tappin was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.

Deputies say Tappin has lived in the county since December 2010. They say he was convicted in 2000 in Louisiana for having sex with an underage female.

Investigators say they received a tip from someone who saw Tappin's picture online about a month ago on the sex offender website. Officers have looked in his home and workplace, but have not found him.
