The start of session is keeping local lawmakers busy, but residents in Elmore County had a special visit Saturday from U.S. Senator Richard Shelby.
Senator Shelby joined residents of Elmore County for a "Meet & Greet" and coffee.
The meeting was open to the public at the 1220 café in Tallassee.
Shelby talked about the legislative agenda for the first session as well as other issues concerning the nation and the state of Alabama.
The last time Senator Shelby visited was when he was elected to the U.S. Senate
