Two Women Charged with Montgomery's First Murder of 2013

By CBS 8 News

Two women are charged with capital murder in a man's stabbing death in Montgomery on New Year's Day.

Montgomery police say 21-year-old Danny Stroud was found with a single stab wound at around 4:30 a.m. on Powell Lane. Police say he was later pronounced dead at a Montgomery hospital.

Police say their investigation shows the stabbing stemmed from an argument. Officers say they've arrested the victim's sister, 24-year-old Amanda Stroud, and his ex-girlfriend, 19-year-old Tari Snell. Both women are from Montgomery.

Both suspects are being held without bond. This is Montgomery's first homicide of 2013.
