Troy Police Identify Murder Suspect, 33 y/o Suroy Manuel Wheeler

UPDATE: Troy police are looking for 33-year old black male Suroy Manquel Wheeler of Troy in connection with the murder of a Troy woman. Wheeler is 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds. Anyone with information on Wheeler's whereabouts is urged to contact the police immediately.
The Troy Police are investigating the murder of a 29-year-old black woman in Troy.
According to Sgt. Benny Scarbrough, police receievd a call around 3:00 p.m. Saturday in connection with a body in an apartment at Troy Villa Apartments on Henderson Street. Police say they located the unidentified woman's body at the apartment building and believe the incident happened earlier Saturday.
Police have developed a suspect in the case, and Troy Police Detectives obtained a warrant for murder to arrest the suspect in the case from the Pike County Circuit Clerks Office. The suspect's bond has been set at $100,000.
The Pike County Coroner and the Pike County District Attorney’s Office are assisting Troy Police with this investigation.
