Changes To Trojan Tailgate

By Sarah Cantey

Troy students experienced a whole new tailgating experience at their season opener against UAB. University leaders wanted to create a more united student tailgate area.

In previous years, the different student organizations would be spread across campus. So student services put together tents and entertainment on the intramural fields next to the stadium. Hundreds of students were there and they seemed to enjoy the new location.
Nicolas Todd, a sophomore said, "It's more open, you can see the tents, there is no congestion between cars and things. And it is just overall backyard experience."
The next home game will be this Saturday against Savannah State. Student services hopes the new tailgate location will catch on and become a tradition.
