Three Area Residents Killed in Roadway Crashes

Three Alabama residents are dead following car crashes over the weekend.

One was in Andalusia. State Troopers say 23-year-old Cameron Smith was killed when the vehicle he was driving left County Road 32 and hit a tree Sunday morning.

Troopers say Smith was not wearing a seat belt.

A Saturday accident killed a Greensboro man.

State Troopers say 29-yearold Brandon Sims died in the accident on Perry County Road 23, ten miles north of Marion.

The accident happened just before midnight.  His car also left he road and hit a tree. Troopers say he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

And the third accident claimed the life of a Plantersville pedestrian.

28-year-old Roderick Wilson was walking on Autauga County 1 early Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle and killed.

Troopers are continuing to investigate.
