Montgomery Police Chief Kevin Murphy says the investigation into contraband at the Montgomery city jail has led to the firing of a correctional officer.
Murphy says that person is not facing charges at this time.
In addition, he says the jail warden has been reassigned.
Last month, two correctional officers resigned after being arrested and charged with promoting prison contraband.
Police say more arrests and more terminations are expected.
The U.S. Marshal's office has also removed 60 federal inmates from the jail.
