School Board President Henry Hicks says a full investigation will help ease the lingering concerns raised after Selma High health teacher Latanglia Williams was arrested on sex charges involving students last week.

Hicks has requested that the recommendation be added to the school board agenda for their next meeting.

"When our children come to school the parents leave them, entrust their safety in the school system's hands and so now we have to reassure our parents that we're doing everything possible to make sure not only that they are safe around our buildings, but they are safe also inside of our buildings," said Hicks.

The next scheduled meeting of the school board is Thursday, May 9th at Meadowview Elementary School at 6 pm.
