Steven Reed Wins Montgomery County Probate Judge

By Ashley Thompson

Steven Reed has been elected Montgomery County's New Probate Judge.

Reed says he is excited to move Montgomery on to bigger and better things.

Supporters of Reed ate, drank, and danced the night away. The crowd was enthusiastic when they learned that Reed would be the new Probate Judge. Reed told us he believes his supporters have gone the extra mile to get him elected.

"They see this as a new day. They see this as a new beginning and a chance to bring about new ideas," Reed said.

Reed defeated Republican nominee Reese McKinney, who had held the position since 1998. He says he feels honored and satisfied to come out with the victory.

"I'm really excited to serve Montgomery. Really excited to lead the community and get in the probate find out how things are going and how we can improve things but also just to keep moving the community forward so that we can be sure that Montgomery keeps pace...surpasses our other communities so that people will want to live here, work here and play here," Reed said.
