State Trooper Hit by Car

By Alabama News Network

State troopers are investigating an accident involving one of their own.

They tell us a trooper was helping a driver on Highway 29 near Luverne when a vehicle hit him.

They say the trooper was directing traffic when he was hit.  However, he was wearing a vest and had his emergency lights activated.

He was taken to Crenshaw Community Hospital, but there is no word on his condition.
