Social Media Weighs in on Strange vs. Murphy for Mayor

By Ellis Eskew

Police Chief Kevin Murphy tells Alabama News Network he is considering a run for mayor next year.

While Mayor Todd Strange has not made a decision on whether he will run, we want to know what you think.

We asked our Facebook fans if the election were held today, who would get your vote-- Chief Murphy or Mayor Strange?

Jason Davenport says, "Kevin Murphy, without a doubt."

Eric Kaver says, "I haven't heard anything regarding his thoughts or platform. Way too early."

Joyce Vaughn says, "I love Mayor Strange!"

Tamela Lowery says, "To be honest, at this point neither. I don't think the whole story has come out yet. There are still questions in my mind about both the Mayor and Murphy. This whole situation is a mess and I think each side bears fault in the matter. It's a shame for our City."

The election will take place Fall 2015.

Mayor Strange and Chris Murphy is my choice, Kevin Murphy needs to go to the nut house or get on medication for his bipolar condition!

I trust Mayor Strange and Public Safety Director Chris Murphy 10 to 1 over the ex police chief. If they say it was time for him to go, then we can all count on their judgement and honesty.
