Six murders in less than a week.

Sunday a man who was shot Thursday night, died from his injuries, bringing the total to 27 homicides in Montgomery so far this year.

Thursday night Montgomery Police responded to the 2200 block of Bonaparte Boulevard, after someone shot into an occupied vehicle. 

First responders found 18-year-old Justin Leonard of Montgomery suffering from a gunshot wound. Leonard was transported to Baptist South Hospital, but died today from the gunshot wound.

This investigation is ongoing, and no other information is available at this time.

There were 31 homicides in Montgomery last year.
