Sheriff's Office: Georgiana Fire Determined As Arson

By Catalina Trivino

The Butler County Sheriff's Office says a fire at a Georgiana gas station has been ruled arson.

The Georgiana Gas and Garage Service station caught fire last month, and was considered a total loss.

Deputies also believe the gas station was burglarized.

The service station had been around for nearly 80 years and was a gathering place for people in the community. Deputies say there are no suspects, but if you have a tip to help investigators, call Georgiana police at 376-2222.
