Selma Woman Shot, Suspects on the Run

A Selma man and his teenage nephew are wanted for attempted murder -- after an early morning shooting in Selma.

Police say 55 year old Nelson Ellis and his 17 year old nephew Leon Ellis -- are wanted for shooting a 20 year woman with a shotgun.

They say the suspects followed the woman to a house on the 1600 block of Vickery Street after an argument Wednesday night -- then went back to the house Thursday morning.

"And a physical altercation occurred which led to the suspects pulling a shotgun, a single shot shotgun and shooting the victim once in the thigh with buckshot," said Lt. Curtis Muhannad.

Police say the suspects are believed to be armed and dangerous.
