Selma Police are investigating two assaults after two people are shot over the weekend.
Police began investigating one shooting after being contacted by the hospital after a man went to the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his forearm.
Officers responded to a shooting on the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Street early Sunday morning.
"Well about six o'clock A-M officers responded to the 1400 block of MLK in reference to a gunshot victim in the area," said Sgt. Curtis Muhannad. "When officers arrived at the scene they made contact with a Willie Norris, Jr. who had received two gunshot wounds, one to each leg."
No arrests have been made in either incident.
