Selma Man on Trial in Shooting Death of Three Year Old

By George McDonald

The capital murder trial of a Dallas County man charged in the death of a three year old boy gets underway in Selma.

District Attorney Michael Jackson says Aaron Harris is the second of four suspects charged in the murder of three year old Rosjah Butler, Junior.

Butler was hit by a bullet and killed during a drive-by shooting in Selma about three years ago.

"A group of guys were in a car, drove by a home and they sprayed the place with bullets and a three year old was killed," said Jackson.

Jackson says Harris was driving the car that night and could get the death penalty -- or life without parole -- if he's convicted of capital murder.
