Selma Man Convicted on Two Counts of Murder in Toddler's Death

By George McDonald

A verdict is handed down in the capital murder trial of a Selma man in the death of a three year old.

Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson says Aaron Harris is looking at a life sentence after being convicted on two counts of murder.

Harris was the driver during the drive-by shooting that killed three year old Rosjah Butler, Junior back in 2010.

Jackson says the jury deliberated about three and a half hours before reaching a verdict.

"We're going to keep making sure that gunslingers and people like that are off the streets here in Selma," said Jackson.

Jackson says a pre-sentence investigation report was ordered by the judge before Harris is sentenced.
