Selma Girl Goes To Washington, D.C.

By Alabama News Network

Kindall Murphy will represent Alabama in the First Lady's Healthy Food Challenge.

Children from across the country came up with hundreds of creative and unique healthy recipes and one winner was chosen from each of the fifty states.

Murphy's winning entry was a delicious-sounding - kale-broccoli-chicken-and-apple-salad.

Kindall Murphy says, "I am excited because I get to sit with the First Family and eat with them and get to shakes hands."

Kindall and her mother leave for Washington Monday morning.

The White House Luncheon is Tuesday.
