A follow up on our exclusive story we brought you earlier tonight; the search for a Butler County man has come to an end.

Terry Shelby, who allegedly strangled his girlfriend is now behind bars.  After hours of searching the streets for him, investigators say they got a tip that he was at the Bent Creek apartment complex in Greenville and when police approached Shelby, they say he took off running.

Greenville Police Officer, T.J. Gray says, "On the side of the building once we saw him, once he saw us he began to run. He ran [into] the woods between Bent Creek Apartments and Heatherton Apartments where we found him in the woods trying to hide from us."

Police say the chase lasted several minutes and no authorities were injured during the chase.
