How to Recycle Your Christmas Trees

By Jackie Hauser

For the third year, the City of Prattville is partnering with the Davey Tree Company to recycle old Christmas trees. The best part, service is free and eco-friendly.

The recycled Christmas trees will be used in mulching landscapes all over Prattville, plus recycling the trees decreases the amount of debris hauled to the landfill.

Christmas Tree Drop-Off Location:

Recycling Center located at 122 Ridgewood Road (across from Mac Gray Park).

Tree Collection Days:

Wednesday, December 26, 2012 through Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., which are normal Recycling Center hours (Wednesday through Saturday weekly).

**Trees must be free of all lights, ornaments, tinsel, and any other decoration.
