By Alabama News Network

The state is planning to send in a rapid response team to help workers in Wetumpka who are losing their jobs.

As we've reported, the Russell plant will start closing at the end of next month. ADECA has announced a plan to meet with those employees July 9.

The Rapid Response team will provide information about employment assistance, training and benefits for those workers.
