Rain Making Mosquito Problem Worse

By Ellis Eskew

As you may have already experienced, the recent rain is making mosquito season a lot worse this summer.

Experts say mosquitoes only need a small amount of standing water to breed.

With all the recent rainfall, experts say the problem may only get worst.

The City of Montgomery has been hard at work spraying the streets.

They say you can do your part as well.

"It's important for the citizens of Montgomery to make sure they don't have standing water in their yard. Children's toys, car wash buckets, anything that can hold water, make sure you empty it. That will help a lot," said Mosquito Crew Foreman Dennis Miller.

If you have a mosquito problem... You can call 311 to request the city to come spray in your area.
