Pres. Barack Obama has been re-elected president of the United States.

ABC News made the projection shortly before 10:30 CT. The president carried all the states he'd had been expected to, plus most of the battleground states. He gave his acceptance speech after midnight Wednesday to a cheering and emotional crowd in Chicago.
