Political Analyst Steve Flowers was on Alabama News Network at 6:00 to talk about the special election for Alabama's House District 74.

That's the race to replace State Rep. Jay Love (R-Montgomery), who's resigning. So far, Montgomery Co. Commissioner Dimitri Polizos and former Montgomery Co. school board president Charlotte Meadows are in the race, running as Republicans.

Flowers says usually, a legislative race would be won based on name recognition. He says in the case of a special election, organization is key because voters have to remember to get to the polls.
