CBS 8 Political Analyst Steve Flowers was on CBS 8 News at 6:00 to preview next week's statewide vote on a proposed constitutional amendment to help the General Fund budget.

Flowers told CBS 8 News Anchor Glenn Halbrooks that he's not surprised that so many voters are still undecided about whether it's a good idea to allow the state to shift $437 million from a trust fund to help the General Fund budget for the next three years.

He says if a major media campaign isn't launched and if turnout is low, the amendment will likely fail at the polls. That means the state will have to take some sort of action, because the General Fund budget isn't balanced as required by law.
