Butler Co. Sheriff Kenny Harden confirms to CBS 8 News that a police chase has led to a fatal car crash in Greenville.

Details are still coming in to CBS 8 News, but it appears the chase began in Fort Deposit, involving the Fort Deposit Police Dept. Apparently, officers tried to stop a driver who would not pull over.

That's when the chase apparently began, going from Fort Deposit to Greenville south on Highway 185.

Harden says the driver went around a curve and hit another car head-on near the Camellia Country Club. He says the person killed was the driver who had been chased.
