One Opp landmark will be getting a facelift in the coming months.

City officials say they're fixing up The Train Depot, all thanks to a $400,000 grant by the Alabama Department of Transportation.

The city hopes to move the chamber of commerce there, and make it into a welcome center with a gift shop.

City officials say they'll restore the Depot with new windows, doors and a roof.

The city will pay 20 percent of that grant, adding up to about $80,000.

City leaders hope to start work on the Depot by the first of the year.
